At 34 years of age, I like many others have a lot of ambitions in life. Having started working at the age of 16 in a local garden centre and continued into retail at the age of 17. In my early 20’s I changed my avenue into pharmacy and pharmacy management which I stayed at for many years until returning to retail management.
In my mid-20’s I returned to the green fingered career of a local rose growing company, working in the office and creating and managing their website. We survived the pandemic thanks to the working website. This lasted 5 years before I was made redundant when the company closed.
Since leaving this career, I have struggled to become settled in any job, having 3 since then until now. I am trying self-employment, well, a courier driver. The money is okay, not great, but for the hours I do, it isn’t too bad.
I have attempted to study a degree online in the past few years just to get me into a new career path, but for some reason, I decided on a difficult subject with little to no experience previously and working full-time. Soon, I am starting a new online degree with my local university, which I hope will be more successful with working part-time hours.
Over the past 18 years I have always belonged to a gym at some point, however, starting 2026, I have decided to quit the gym and go onto motivate myself with resistance training at home, going for walks with my partner in the fresh air and watching films at the Odeon.
